About Me:
I'm living in Chatham, Kent, and got into the 100 day challenge through watching Taragh's vids on youtube.

I have lots of things that I know that I am going to achieve over the next 100 days. I can't wait to see it all unfold and to enjoy the journey.

My Interests:

I enjoy driving - i have three cars - an mx5, alfa romeo, and aygo. I love driving all of them... I have ambitions to have a wildly huge collection.

I enjoy being with my friends - a range of great people

I enjoy reading - I have really got into it recently - I read lots now.

Learning new things is really important to me. I like to improve myself.

I have recently discovered doing quieter things. I enjoy walking - and the Lakes in Cumbria is fantastic place for that (and it has some great pubs!).

I have started listening to more music. I used to get a little bored and restless doing nothing and relaxing, I enjoy it alot more now - helps me unwind and let my mind wander.

Day 15: Off to Nottingham

I am off at a conference with work today and tomorrow. This is going to be great fun. Looking forward to meeting some old friends and some new ones too. What is great is that around half of my team is also coming. It is a conference for our profession. My partner and I have decided that we are going to grow some vegetables. That should be really really good fun. We will grow lots of things so that we have a good choice. I can then pretend to have a jamie oliver lifestyle ;-) LOL. That will also… Continue

Day 14: Very productive and organised

This is my last day in the office before I head off to a conference. Last year I went to the conference only for one day, so this time I am staying over because I got myself much more organised. I am really looking forward to it - it is going to be fun meeting back up with old friends from other places that I used to work. It is a conference for my profession - so there should be a number of great speakers too. I am pleased that I have maintained my weight at 16st 4lbs. Tha… Continue

S2Day 13: Getting on with it and loving and living

Getting fit - I am pleased that I am keeping up with my cycling. I went for a ride this morning as part of my exercising to get fitter. I think I did around 3.5miles and I will be checking on the mapmyrun website later on. Weighed myself and I came in at 16st 4lbs this morning. I intend that by the end of next week (11 July) I will weigh no more than 16st. That will be achievable without going too mad. I still need to do my vision board and I know that when I do it my intentionss… Continue

Day 12: A revelation Went out cycling this morning. I made extra effort because I did hardly any exercise over the weekend. I am still to ma my route to work out the distance, but was pleased with what I did. The indicator that used is how good I feel when I get back and I think it felt like an 8 / 10 exercise. I weighed myself on wii-fit, and after yesterdays blip.... I am down to 16t 6lb. Still downward trend, but clearly a pause for breath! Hey, after talking to soe people last week, and cy… Continue

S2Day 11: Enjoying time with friends

Fantastic day at friends place. They live in Milton Keynes. We had a fair bit to drink last night had a barbecue last nght and this morning too. It is really nice where they live. Though I love where we live. I was really good with my eating - normally i would have carried on, but I did stop before I was full. I made a lovely curry this morning, though I could have eaten a little less!! Was fun meeting some new people too, and chatting. Fun. My friends know lots of different people. I have so… Continue

S2Day 10: To see my friends and I am 16st 4lbs!!! (

I went for a big bike ride this morning. I did 6.25 miles - and I am keen to get it up to 8 miles. I really enjoyed it! Really good for clearing the mind. I feel so much fitter. Anyway, my "key performance indicator" is weight - and that has come in at 16st 4lb. I am delighted because not only has it come down, but other people can see the difference in me. I have also been doing five a day on fruit - and doing really well with it. I have made it a habit. I have been buying fruit at work and j… Continue

S2Day 9: Busy day and coaching others.

Got up super early this morning - about 5.20am! Went for a cycle - did 4 miles this morning, and I felt great. My aim is to get it up to 8 miles which is what I used to do when I cycled to work when I lived in London. Was so lovely, and when I got back I did a little bit on the wii-fit. My weight has blipped upwards to 16 st 6lbs - which is in part down to the drinking last night - ooh and the burger on the way home. Met some great people on the workshop I was on today. Being very creative. Th… Continue

S2Day 8: Great to see progress!!! & New update

I didn't cycle this morning - I could have gone to bed a little earlier last night. Anyway, I am doing pretty well so far and I am more than pleased with my progress. I did get on the wii fit this morning and that was great because I am down to 16st 4lbs. I know that my weight will fluctuate a little, but I am weighing myself at the same time everyday, and I am making sure that I have plenty of water too. It is good to see steady progress. I am down 4lbs so far over the last week - I imagine tha… Continue

s2Day 7: Feeling healthier and eating better - with evening update

I could have got up this morning a little earlier.... and I went out for a cycle. I did a shorter, slightly higher intensity cycle this morning, and felt great when I got back home. Also polished off a banana. I am pleased that I am eating better and finally doing some exercise. I weighed myself this morning on wii-fit and my weight after a bit of an upward blip was 16t 5lb. So, I have 12lb to go!! I also found some videos that I intend to watch on youtube. My intention here is to keep up my p… Continue

S2Day 6: Up at the crack of dawn (updated for the evening)

I am very happy. This morning I got up, went for a cycle around the island -doing basically one nad a half laps. Enough to get mmy heart rate up. I do love the island and this is one of only a few times tht I have cycled around it (though I have walked alot). It got even better when I went on the wii-fit and found myself at 16st 6lb. Ok Ok... it is probably partly water I have lost, but I did do a great workout and it will increase my metabolism too. So i should see bigger improvements later. I… Continue

S2Day 5: Getting on my bike :-)

Today was great. I am so pleased with myself. I intended to go for a cycle this morning - but instead I got up went on the wii-fit,, and then went to work. I tool some pasta with me too that my partner cooked the previous evening. Was nice. Today was challenging at work because I was trying to do something that does not come naturally to me. Difficult - though easy for some others - but I am perservering with it because I promised that I would solve the problem and I am a man of my word. I am… Continue

S2-Day 4: Chilling in the garden

Sunday was great. I started off by fixing my new phone. I was messing around with the software on it and whatever I did with it, I needed to fix it. After a little while, and help from Susie, I managed it. It is working, and has even better softwqre on it that before. I was grateful for my partner helping me out - she styas so calm - I can learn that from her. I was sat downstairs in the study with the double fresh doors open into the garden. It was quite breezy yesterday and that was great bec… Continue

Day 3: Good friends, and a fun day

Great day today. Had some friends over. They are great. And what I like is that they are so straightforward and they tell it like it is. I admire and appreciate honesty, and they are fun too - so great friends. We went for a walk around the island, went shopping, and had drinks on our balcony. We also ordered in a thai takeaway which was yum yum!! Picked up my new broadband equipment that arrived during the week, and we also bought a couple of cooking books too - one on fish and the other on cu… Continue

Day 2: Having great fun - and being spontaneous. 16st7lb

Day 2 was good fun. Susie and I went to an outdoor theatre production from Alter-ego. They were really good. It was in the corner of a field in Kent, and there were about 40 - 50 people there. It was great. They did Much-ado about Nothing. They were fabulous. We would definitely go again - and what is more, it didn't rain either!!! :-) Thans Susan! At work we had an event to get people involved in lots of aspects of a big project we are doing. It was great - we produced some handouts, and some… Continue

Day 1: Off to a great start

I have really enjoyed my first day - setting out my intentions has been really great. It has really helped me to set out in black and white what I want to achieve, What is great is that I got up at 530 in the morning, and used the wii-fit this morning. It was great to get my body going this morning and waking my mind up. I am planning to do even more of it - and what is great is that it keeps track of my progress. I am starting at 16 st 7lbs. I want to get that to 15st 7lbs by the middle of my… Continue

Day 99: Gets better and Better

Day 99 That was a good one. I got some key things done at work, and I promised myself that I would go home once I had done them. So I got an earlier train, and went home. It was lovely being home with my partner Susie for a longer evening. We ate, and then went for a walk around the island. Where we live is so lovely - and I am pleased that we are not moving away now. Everyone loved my new painting at work, so I was really pleased. It was inspired by the view from my house - though of course w… Continue

We did a Harry Potter marathon! It was fantastic but we didn't actually time it well since those movies are longer than average, so we ended up finishing them the next evening :-) It was a GREAT day!
