I was standing in the shower this morning, of course I was already thinking about everything I had to do at work. Then I was practicing quieting my mind, finding that stillness. I realized that when I listen to music I am at peace. And now I know why!!! Thanks to Eckhart Tolle. As I am listening, I am in the NOW, no other thoughts, just right there at the present moment with the sound of the music, the words, the melody, and it always gives me the stillness and that feeling of bliss. Now I know why I have always turned music on when I am feeling any kind of hurt, pain or anxiety. It's amazing!! We are on our way. I am love, I am joy, I am happiness!!
I have felt really anxious the past couple days, have been thinking about a lot of things, when I do that I get very unsettled. Sometimes I think I create that feeling. I find that when I have idle time, I think too much. These thoughts consume me, and they are mostly negative, thinking about how someone reacted, and how they didn't react the way I wanted them too, so this turns into, "what did I do to them?" So, I create this whole story in my head, and the end of the story is never a happy ending. How do I control these thought patterns? HELP!!!
I read this on my Belief.net website, and I thought about Eckhart Tolle's book:
I am not sure but with the start of spring I am so in touch with the birds. In the morning there is one particular bird who wakes me with a beautiful song outside my window. 5:30 am comes and I hear that lovely melody coming thru my window.
During the coarse of my days I take time, in the car, or eating my lunch, to watch the birds..in flight..bathing in a shallow pool of water, perched high on a wire. They take my breath away. Living in the moment, seemingly so at peace. I want to be them.
I try to experience this everyday, with the birds, the trees, and nature and all the beauty around.
Friday we went on a field trip to Philadelphia with the fifth grade at my daughter's school. We got the bus list and it turned out my daughter was the only one not on the bus with all her friends, of course she was devastated a 2 hour bus ride without her friends, (that was the worst that could have happen), she asked her teacher if she could be on Bus 2, and they told her that she could not change buses. She was very upset and crying, we told her that it would be ok, everything would work out, and of course it did, we were the last to board bus 1, and to our suprise it turned out there were not enough seats!!! My daughter was able to get on the bus with her friends, and it all worked out as we said. Is that a coincidence, I don't think so, there are no coincidences.......

People who are good at change always focus on the positive that will inevitably come from any transition. The gift that comes from change may not be related to what you're currently going through. For example, you may lose your job but find yourself in a rewarding new relationship that you wouldn't have had time to pursue.
Change may lead you to new people, help you develop a stronger faith and belief in yourself, give you new opportunities, or inspire you to live a healthier life. It's important to be on the lookout for good changes, and not necessarily where you expect to find them!
I believe change has led me to this page!!!
