Profile

Relationship Status:
Single
About Me:
I feel grateful that I am one of the fortunate one's who have discovered the secret. As far as I am concerned..well...I love to laugh ,at times I don't even need a reason to do so !!! I drive my sister crazy because of this:) But I know she loves me!
I want to infuse my life with positivity and spread happiness no matter where I go:)
I am a true nature lover and the feel of cool wind on my face is enough to make me forget all my worries.Nature I believe is the best antidote for the human soul.I love my buddies Cherie and Rambo , my 2 labradors.Being with them I have realised that even animals have attitude problems ...hahhahaa ..my dog Cherie is the living proof of my discovery!!!But still I adore her.

I also like sketching and aspire to become a fashion designer.SO all you lovely people out there when I'm done with my studies and launch my brand ;)I'll be giving you a special discount for having the guts and willingness to make a difference to your lives and the lives of others! :)

Offlate I have realised that the key to success is to truly know yourself first and thus I'm striving to become aware of my soul's purpose!! So, Self awareness is one of the most important goals on my list.We get just one life to live and in this life I want to ensure that I am the best I can be.
Oh yeah ...I also like watching movies and reading books that enlighten me about life and the meaning of our existence.I am inquisitive by nature and love to learn .Hmm..I think I've told you quite a lot about myself now it's your turn:)

Goodluck to all you folks.I sincerely hope that you achieve your dreams and lead beautiful lives.

P.S. Feel free to give me any tips or advice.
Season:
Season 1
Starting Date:
May 15, 2008
Intentions & Goals:
I have set 12 goals for the duration of 100 days.Though the goals might seem to be too many but I won't settle for less;)The Universe is going to give me all tis free of charge after all!!!!!:)So here we go! My intention is to

1)Lose 10 kg-a healthy mind in a healthy body:)

2)JOIN Shiamak Davar dance classes-Dancing is my passion

3)JOIN Academy of Fashion Studies for the preparation of NIFT [National Institue of fashion designing]entrance exam-didn't I tell you I want to be a fashion designer?

4)Since all this would call for money so I want to accumulate One lakh Rupees-this will be the true test of this challenge.

5)READ 50 books-not only my textbooks but others that will help in selfdiscovery and exploring the true meaning of life.

6)COMPLETE the G.K.portion of the National Institue of Fashion Designing(NIFT)exam-this is going to call for a lot of rote learning so I'll need to be patient!

7)SELF AWARENESS-I have been struggling with a lot of questions about myself and life.So I'll start meditating and journaling on a regular basis to DISCOVER the answer to these mind boggling questions!!:)

8)COMPLETE the first part of the Foreign language course I'll be starting.

9) Buy books on Fashion Designing and keep practising.

10)Become a COMPLAINT FREE person-well incase you're wondering what's this then I would like to tell you that recently I read a book by Will Bowen and was intrigued. He is encouraging people round the globe to become complaint free and thus rid their lives of negativity.Infact the funny part is that we all complain but don't realise it.SO i'll be wearing a bracelet and switch it every time I complain and try to go absolutely complaint free. This process can take months but I'm all set for this challenge!!!!!!!!
11) TRUE FRIENDS-I do have friends but not very close ones.I hope that God will bless me with the gift of true friends .
12) Art-sketching ,painting etc -This is one of my latest goals.Actually I've wanted to learn painting since a very long time.I want to release the fear of the process and just get going with it.I'm good at sketching and making potraits though painting is something I intend to take lessons in.

So for the time being these are the goals that I want to accomplish. With god's grace and the support of all you amazing people out here I'm have faith that I'll succeed.I 'm very excited about this challenge and I'm sure it'll prove to be a great learning experience.Wish me success!!!!:)

My first BIG manifestation :)...YOOhooo!!!!(day 32)

I am writing a blog today after a very long time.I've been extremely busy running around to join the institute that would help me prepare for the various fashion schools' entrance exam. Finally!! I've manifested the money I needed (which wasn't a small amount at all ) and I'll be taking classes thrice a week beginning tomorrow. The only drawback is that the institute is at a distance of around 2 hours from my place and since I don't have a personal car I'll have to manage somehow...metro,buses etc… Continue

An unbelievable response to a formidable situation!!...Was this really me???

I can't really believe what I did yesterday. My brother misunderstood something that I said and lost his temper...he has a terrible one! I was trying to make him understand this..but to no avail..he was shouting hard at me.I felt hurt...as anyone would. If I hadn't been in this challenge or had self realisation as one of my goals, I would have continued justifying myself ,blamed him , stopped talking to him for a few days and perhaps cried myself to sleep. But I didn't do that this time.Instead… Continue

My journey so far and a little Manifestation:) (Day 20)

It's my 20th day today(sounds incredible to me,time really flies by!)and I have noticed certain changes in my attitude. For that I believe I have the affirmations and the visualisation techniques to thank . The changes are so subtle that I could have passed them off as nothing but then I thought it really takes a lot of effort to change ..so it doesn't matter whether the change is big or small it's still there. I am coming along with my goal of being a complaint free person. My goal is O complaint… Continue

Pay it forward ...an excellent idea to change the world!!!(day7)

After reading Brian Weiss's book I have stopped believing in coincidences.I've realised that all things are planned by God to bring us one step closer to becoming the person we're supposed to be.We are all made in the image and likeness of God and so he does everything he can to make us the loving being that we have always been but have forgotten our true identities in the glare of this materialistic world. Today this notion was reaffirmed in my mind by the movie I watched. It believe it was no… Continue

The Intense desire to know my spiritual self-How does the process unfold?[My 4th day]

It's my fourth day of the challenge and everything is going well.My positivity level has gone up thanks to all the affirmation and visualisation. But there's something I've realised .In the past I hardly felt the urge to pick up a spiritual book and read it.But now it's completely the opposite.I yearn to read books that can help me connect with my soul. Each and every soul steps on the earth with a particular purpose that helps it grow. And I want to know mine.I am reading Dr Brian Weiss's book Man… Continue

Hi friend!! Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. Getting used to this new work schedule was harder than I thought.
No I think you are already that affulent. Remember act as if it has already happened. I can picture you saying I need to relax I think I will go to my country home this weekend.
Liz hasn't been playing her violin for the last couple of years. Other interests have crowded it out. She liked playing it but it was never a big deal with her. It depends on the day if the boys are sweet or michevious to her. She is the oldest though so they never get the better of her. LOL Yes Liz sings some. She was in chorus for year at school but then she found drama club and thats what she loves so I go to plays now instead of concerts.
Gaelic was forbidden as a way to make the Irish conform. Alot of things were forbidden at that time. I love the Lord of the Rings triliogy but its really better if you read The Hobbit first since it tells the story where Bilbo Baggins finds the ring. If you like fantasy fiction here are a couple of my favs in that genre. Magic Kingdom for Sale series by Terry Brooks, Seventh Swordsman series by Dave Duncan and The Ships Who Series by Anne McCaffrey (there are several of these like The Ship who Sang). Right now I am looking into online libraries. They are so cool. You "borrow" a book in mp3 form then after the lending time the file stops working so its "returned". This will be so great when I am in the car. Plus we like to build campfires and sometimes listen to stories while we sit. Also we listen to books on tape while we are going to sleep. That's on top of the book we actually "read". Now you know why we don't miss cable. LOL
We would love to have you over for cookies. I hope some day that that happens! We could take you to a beautiful clearing in the woods that is perfect for a picnic.
Don't feel bad I wasn't that into cooking until Liz was old enough to eat solid food. I am still evolving in my cooking even now. My oldest son though loves cooking and is fascinated with the food network. (dang forgot about that may have to have the cable turned back on after all)
Anyway I better go but wanted to let you know I wasn't ignoring you.
Sending wishes and hope you are having a great day!

hey Devika! wow you're probably in the clouds now after your big manifestation hehe! so nice to see people succeed! sorry for my late response, next week will be my last week of suffering haha! I will hear the results from school....right now I'm in stress! well everything is fine with the guy I like, the thing is...I think he wants us to get together....but ...I wanna slow things down...at the moment I'm not even really sure if I like him that much .. we do have a lot in common, but we also diasgree on many things. I have a crush on this guy for like 5 years, he likes me as well..but sometimes I wonder, maybe this is nothing more than a crush, so that's why I wanna get to know him more.

Hi Devika,

I have to say it again: I'm just so thrilled for your manifestations! Don't worry about the bus rides. You'll do fine, I'm sure. Something new to experience, that's all. I think it's great that you didn't let that hold you back from going to the institute.

We got our cable this afternoon. I'm already enjoying it. I just curled up on the loveseat and watched TV for an hour. It was divine! LOL! I was like a little kid, waiting for the cable installer to get through with what he was doing, so I could turn on the television.

I've put Eat, Read, Pray on my reading list. I'll look for it the next time I'm at the library. I've never traveled alone, but I go out to eat alone and really enjoy it. Most of my friends think I'm weird for that, but I find I can be more present with my food if I eat by myself.

My husband occasionally reads to me at night. I love it when he does that. I curl up in bed and intend myself to fall asleep while he's reading to me; the next day, I have to read the chapter over, so I know what's going on in the book! I really enjoy the sensation of falling asleep to his voice.

I haven't read Tuesdays with Morrie, although I've certainly heard of it. Maybe I'll put it on my reading list, too.

I don't really know how many art pieces I have to make for my show. i have some pieces that just need to be framed. I guess I need to figure that out! Thanks for your well-wishes for my show. I'm intending that it will be a HUGE success! *grin*

I know that you'll be busy from now, so I won't expect to hear as much from you. But do drop a note when you can. Hope all is well with you.

Love and peace,
Cindy

That's ok, I'm glad you have been busy! I have been spending so much time hanging out on this site latey that I haven't been out doing the things I need to do to realise my manifestations..LOL! I'm so happy that you were able to get the money you needed. I'm thinking all the positive thoughts in the world for your admission!!

Hey, I have to tell you this. You remember you mentioned Brian Weiss to me the other day? Well, I had been thinking for a long time that maybe I need to do some past life regression stuff to deal with this underlying anger that I have had since childhood that doesn't seem justified when you look back on my life -maybe it is anger left over from a past life I'm thinking..? Like, maybe I was murdered or something... So anyway, I thought that of all the people I know, my friend Rosemary would be the most likey to have done any past life stuff. I stayed at her house two nights ago, and I asked her about it, and you what she said? "You need to check out Brian Weiss' work." I hadn't told her about you, BTW.
Whoa! Ok, I'm listening Universe...I love it when that serendipity happens! I wonder what Dr Weiss has in store for me....??
Stay groovy!

I visited Goa for 2 weeks in November 2008. It was amazing, we stayed in Goa for the whole time and explored the many beaches and generally relaxed. I loved the food, the smells, the clothes... basically everything. I hope to return to India again one day to see and experience more.
