My journey started in the pursuit of practical magic. What began as a teenager's fatuous expression lead to many valid and powerful methods of overall growth and learning.
My experiences are mainly what is called the Western Mystery Tradition. Ceremonial magic as taught by The Golden Dawn (at one time a genuine esoteric group from 1888, but now split into an infinite amount of "authentic" orders). Eventually, I joined B.O.T.A. which is probably the closest in authenticity to the original GD, but with some important subtractions and additions.
Other things I've used or been involved with:
Silva Mind Control, Hemi-sync Gateway program (can't recommend this highly enough), Rosicrucian AMORC, Fraternity of the Hidden Light, Level 3 Reiki master, Golden Dawn, honorary member of the O.T.O for a brief time, Freemasons, Chaos magic, Franz Bardon's work (Initiation into Hermetics), S.R.I.A. and currently Builders of the Adytum...there's probably more but I can't remember.

Day 28, 29 - Season 1 - I'm swearing off scary movies

Day 27, Season 1 - results, results, results!!

Day 25, Season 1 - Nothing terribly exciting to report...and I'm cool with that.
Worked a whopping 11 hours yesterday so it didn't leave much room to notice any magical occurences. My studies and practices are going well. My current BOTA lesson might be my favorite one. Oh wait, there was a tiny coincidence. Since I've take up Golden Dawn study/practice, I'm immersed in two different, but related, sources of information. That was some good Reiki the other day. I was laying down and just decided to give in to it and not try and analyze it at all. My arms started to tingle and the tops of them started to get really cool but it was soooo comfortable. Then it went to work on a headache I woke up with and took care of that quick. It then just relaxed every one of my cells and I fell into a state of complete joy and acceptance. After a little while I felt like I was being surrounded by a strong casing of energy like the shape of a pill and generally got the feeling of protection.
Before I knew it I was completely wide awake and jumped out of bed to take on the weekend.
Thanks for this man, it was fantastic and I can't wait to get some Reiki Plus! I'm gonna trade you some Reiki at some point to. How was your weekend?

- Wow, Thank you so much for your response to my blog entry. I appreciate it. Yes I did read the Nature of Personality. I read while I was in high school, I found in a thrift shop an old copy for about 50 cents. I read it about one and half times because the first time was so a little much to take in and remember, so I had to re-read but didn't finish.
As for what I want to manifest. I want to bring more abundance and prosperity into my life so I can be financially independent. I want to be out on my own with a life. I want to be manifest inspiration, well, divine inspiration because I want to be a visionary artist. I also want to write and go back to school because right after I left school, I lost my job and my mom got sick. That was in June (this year). There definitely is something within me that wants to get balance and back on my feet. I kinda been a hermit for a while although I did go to a party the other day for Halloween.
You're right about the energy is probably being used to heal myself because I'm feeling better a little by little each day. I being drawn to sites and articles that seem to help alot in my healing and raising my vibration out of my "funk."

Based on the teachings, begging the Universe for a miracle does not bring us a miracle. We must create an exact image of what it is we want and take positive action to bring about the necessary change. My intent for making this comment was to make you aware that I was helping Nicole by making her realize that being stuck in her own pain adds to her misery. Everything is inside of us and everything that happens to us, we manifest them with our own thoughts. When we change our beliefs, we can heal our own bodies and our own life. It is easy to be the victim and it is human nature to project ourselves as the victim. However, this mentality is dis-empowering and we do it, on a subconscious level, mainly to attract attention and sympathy. However, when we change neighborhood and we change our scripts, miraculous things are bound to happen. Louise Hay cured hersef of cancer simply by changing her thoughts and choosing which thoughts she want to keep and which she should discard. My intention was not to seek attention but to inform you that thinking and talking about pain attracts more pain and misery. Thinking about wholeness and complete health, in spite of whatever we are going through, attracts more of JOY AND HEALTH. I said it as is. Every day I create holographic image of myself in perfect health. We have manifest health from inside and that is the truth and I am not the authority. Thanks for commenting on my post. My ego led me to believe that your comment was all in agreement with what I was saying but it wasn't. Just kidding, I appreciate your thoughts and I have to say I do agree with you. I didn't intrepret Abraham Hick's teachings as an attempt to tell people not to use thoughts to create things. I haven't read much of his work so I could be wrong here. I believe that what he was saying is that we should visualise and we should be very clear about the things we want in our lives but that we should also focus on raising our vibration so that our beliefs match our thoughts. I'm not sure if I'm explaining myself well but it just hit me yesterday that a lot of the effort I was putting into visualising was causing my to focus more on what I don't have rather than what I do have. For instance I would like to meet my life partner but I seem to focus more on the fact that I don't have a life partner, rather than thinking he could appear at any moment. Just a topical example, I'm not obsessed or anything. I get what you're trying to say in that it is somewhat irresponsible to let the universe decide our lives for us while we passively go about our day focusing on feeling good with no intention behind it. I know being a vibrational match is a fairly obvious point but for some reason it wasn't until yesterday that I truly understood what this meant. I think it causes us to focus on the now as well which is good. For myself I sometimes feel that I hold myself back because I'm so concerned about creating a good future that I forget about today.
Anyway I liked your suggestion on having a list of ten subjects and focusing on one of them every hour, I will give it a go. Thanks for sharing with me and you're welcome to write long comments on my blog anyday.
By the way I too am a musician and considering a career as a music therapist.
