Managed 1955 words - they all suck. that was such hard work. Sheesh, hope my pep talk from this week was right and it'll start coming together again. x

Has used the word 'realise' about a thousand times - aha! Another procrastination tool - the thesaurus. Marvelous. x

Yay Sandra! Glad your story still wants to be told, and the stuckness is unsticking.

MIchelle, in this context I actually meant "A published Author", not a writer. A successful, highly paid, published author! xxx

Hubby came home with some bad news about work. You know, the usual b.s. The 'you know that promotion I was taking about. . . it's a carrot on a string' thing.

But it's just another reminder to me why I started my own website anyway and inspiration to work even harder. So, while earlier I was thinking I was done for the night I don't think so now. Got lots more writing to do while I'm still upset and highly motivated.

Sandra, glad your feeling better.

Donna, this might take us on a wide tanget but how do you define "being a writer?" It's an interesting question in this day and age of self publishing and blogging.

I unplugged the internet connection and wrote 1440 words so far today. Also defrosted the freezer and made a video about it for youtube. The best part was watching my cat 'hunt' for the ice/water as it fell and splashed around in the bottom of the freezer.

Looks like we finally got an apartment in Lloyd for December 1st so I got to pick up the pace because I need to pack and move this month too.

Hi there,

Michelle, thanks for the videos. I remember watching Rad's video a while ago. I have King's book "on writing" in my book shelf, it's a good book and I love the word "Fugghetaboutit"

I'm at 17,000 today but was not writing anything related to my novel, maybe I'll use this what I wrote some time later, somewhere but not in my novel lol.

Donna, I think my story still wants to be told. I'm in the middle, just started telling it when I felt stuck not knowing how to go on, my dialogues are so miserable ;) I'll try to work a bit on it tomorrow :) I love this idea writing 70 novels yeah, that's what I'm planing to do with my diaries lol, writing them for the rest of my life :) both is fun yeah! I think practice makes us perfect, we just have to stick with it, try it out, sometimes it works and we have the right story somtimes not and we have to pull it out.

In any case, I am a wee bit positive just because I wrote sth. today wow. I think this feeling is temporary let's see how I'll do tomorrow yeah (-.-) haha

Sandra - I agree with Michelle, you can switch topic - at worst, you have 2 half novels!! Lol. But check first if your original story still wants to be told. I've said often, mine sucks! But it still wants to be told. If I tell it badly this time, next time I'll know better how to tell the story well, and the story will know better how to tell itself through me. It's all good.

Michelle - I love that advice from Stephen King! I do the reading, but not so much the writing ... until now! And i have this vision that even if I never 'become a writer', I will still write 70 novels during the rest of my life (I plan to live 70 years and write for nanowrimo every year!) fun, fun, fun.

I've read the book in my niche that 'sucks' and made me absolutely sure I can do better. Now it's just making it happen.
