We didn't have much luck with the keyword "life coach" there is obviously a lot of competition in the niche. So we are looking for some ideas for phrases we can rank for.

Enter your keyword and use the box on the left to see similar words or categories. I generally ignore the right side.

So instead of "life" we might try "success," "personal," "professional" "home" or "relationship." Instead of "coach" I'm thinking we could try "mentor."

I'm just going to guess that you're not interested in being a "relationship" or "professional" coach judging by your FAQ section.

Lets try "personal coach" and "personal mentor" in the Google Keyword Tool. https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

"Personal coach" gets 40,500 searches a month and has 40,700 supply. Not great but better than "life coach!"

"Personal coaching" has supply of 120,000 so we'll drop that. "Personal life coaching has 24,700 supply and only 5,400 demand. Again most likely not worth the time.

"Life personal coach" has 4,400 demand and 730 supply. Not we are looking at some winnable phrases. Not if you flip that and use "personal life coach" then demand is the same BUT supply goes up to 95,100- very hard to win.

"Personal Development Coach" has 2,400 searches a month and only 8 supply. This sounds perfect for you! It's totally in line with getting what you want, loving yourself and knowing yourself. It might seem like not enough supply and if your goal was to make a living off ad sense clicks it wouldn't be but if these are people you're going to spend time working one on one with than this is a gem glistening in the sun with your name on it.

"Personal development coaching" has 1,300 demand and only 2 supply. I think we just found you a new title.

"Life coach for personal development" has only 210 searches per month and 907 supply. Winnable but not as good as the previous two.

I really like "personal development coach(ing)" for you and success coach has higher supply anyway. So instead of thinking of your niche as a "life coach" think of yourself as a "personal development coach." This concept really fits your articles and the feel of your site and writing much better.

Now you can take these ideas and run with them to get other keywords for your site and articles.
