Ok this law of attraction thing is so kool...have I said that a million and one times. Ok so I just said it again. Anyway I have been having thoughts about "wouldnt it be nice if hubby was in on this whole fitness thing". If I didnt have to cook for him and cook for me that would be great. Really hard to see all this food.
Well tonight he told me to hide his RICE Cooker so I he couldnt find it. I about fell off the couch. Then he told me to store the left over uncooked rice in a sealed container and hide it also. This is a man that eats rice three meals a day. I never eat the stuff. He was brought up on it...Islander guys GOT RICE!
Ok so Im thinking this is a good thing. A step in the right direction. Then he tells me not to buy him anymore chips. So I ask , so what should I buy. He answers berries...any kine berries...another island language. Ok so now I'm focused on the law and the source. This universe is awesome. While Im thinking about the universe he says in a demanding voice "Im losing this pot belly by the end of MAY. He said he caught a glimps of himself in the mirror this morning and he said that a pregnant guy is not at all attractive. I kept my composure but really I was dying inside. I almost had to leave the room. I thought if he say another word I will bust. Then he spouts out...and Im going to the gym for a month straight. He didnt stop for at least 15 minutes. Wow, Im telling you, this was the answer to my request from the universe. So there you have it. Fitness Challenge here we come....J

Hi Jilly!! :) I used a regular food processor before having the Vita-Mix and it worked fine for most things, like the red sauce! The spiralizer is a device that thinly slices foods or slices them into "noodles." Here is a link to one:

Other people use a mandolin slicer like this one:

I like the idea of walking around during commercials. I have a jump rope too... that'd be a fun one to do, but I couldn't do it the entire commercial break just yet! lol! It's harder than it looks!

Candi, Can this only be achived with a Vita-mix. If I dont have one, how would I make it? What is a spiralizer?
Kate, I have one to add to you list. While watching a program on TV, everytime a commercial comes on, get up and walk in place until the commercials come go off and the program resumes.
Thanks everyone for these great tips, I need all the help I can get. Hugs Jilly

Tat, I am using raw zucchini instead of pasta. It's great if you make a good sauce for it! :) I use a spiralizer to get the zucchini looking like spaghetti and it takes a few minutes and lunch is ready! (Red sauce in the Vita-Mix - all raw) Hardly anything to clean up after too and it's really good! I didn't believe it until I tried it!

I just release weight easily when I stop the pastas, breads and gluten foods like that. :) It gives me more energy too for a good work out!

Hope that helps!!

Kate, I love your workout tips. YES it helps!! I love also doing those thing to increase flexibility and move in ways we typically don't! I love your strategy!

I too am staying away from alcohol - all 100 days! It was almost tempted at my friend's son's bday party yesterday - they had Hoegaarden and that's one of my favorite beers! But I just grabbed a bottle of water and was fine. I'm confident that no beer for 100 days will really make an impact on my belly!

I'm finding all sorts of ways to be moving my body more often.
Try some of these and see how all the little things add up throughout the day:
March in place while making breakfast,
Do squats while brushing your teeth,
Do arm push ups against the door or counter top every time you walk by a door, table or counter top,
bending over to touch your head to your toes, stretching any chance you get or think about it,
while laying down reading or watching a movie do leg lifts and sit ups and stretch your torso towards your feet.
Stretch while showering, turn household chores into mini workouts!
